Skytalks

Skytalks operates as an “Off the record” / “Chatham house rules” space with a strict and well-enforced “no recording” and “no photography” policy. Consider us a micro digital detox where all electronics must be put away and in airplane mode.

We host talks about cutting edge material, curious souls probing interesting issues, critical of a vendor, anything that challenges industry or societal norms, including things outside a PG rating.

To attend Skytalks you MUST have a BSidesLV badge, a token for the talk, and be wearing a mask. Tokens available during scheduled “token drops” in the BSidesLV schedule. Tokens are provided in a first come first served fashion.

Skytalks token distribution:

As there are a limited number of seats available for Skytalks at BSides Las Vegas, and limited space for managing a queue, we are (again) using a token system for Skytalks access.

Each talk has been assigned a token number, 1-15. Each token number only gives access to its associated talk(s). For more on talk content and which token is needed for access, take a look at the Skytalks schedule. Which token is needed for access to that talk is listed in the talk name, e.g. “Talk name (Token ##)”.

Tokens will be distributed 1-2x daily at the Token Drop (see Tuscany map, hallway to the right of Middle/Breaking Ground) with ample time to queue, receive your token, and make your way over to Skytalks that day.

Tokens are limited to one per person on a first-come, first-served basis. If you wish to attend multiple sessions, you must rejoin the Token Drop queue after receiving your first token.

9:00am Monday, Aug 3rd: Tokens 1 & 2

12:30pm Monday, Aug 3rd: Tokens 3, 4, 5 & 6

9:00am Tuesday, Aug 4th: Tokens 7, 8 & 9

12:30pm Tuesday, Aug 4th: Tokens 10, 11, 12 & 13

9:00am Wednesday, Aug 5th: Token 14 & 15

As a friendly reminder: Masks are required for Skytalks access. KN95 or better preferred (limited supplies on-site).
